A Special Day Course with Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Leksang

Saturday 16th March – 10am – 4pm

We can be our own harshest judge. We can easily develop very high expectations or ourselves and then beat ourselves up when we don’t reach them. Self-criticism and guilt don’t help us to become a better or more effective person, in fact, they tend to cripple us, hold us back and keep us stuck in unhelpful habits. Furthermore, they destroy our inner peace and self-confidence and can even lead to depression and other self-destructive habits.

On this course we will explore how we can develop more realistic expectations of ourselves, whilst still working to improve ourselves. We will learn simple and reliable methods for letting go of self-criticism and guilt and how we can instead encourage ourselves to steadily grow and improve.

Everybody is welcome to attend this course which will include guided meditations and lots of practical advice for positive and happy living.

Gen Kelsang Leksang is a dedicated disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. She has been studying and teaching for over fifteen years and was appointed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche as the Resident Teacher at KMC Birmingham in 2008. She is loved for her gentle and joyful approach and her sincere example.
