This venue is fully disabled accessible.

The car park at carpenters arms is very small and spaces are limited so arrive in good time if you’d like to park there. There’s also a car park in front of st Nicholas church on Jockey Road we can use, and parking on Boldmere road.

Drop in meditation and mindfulness classes for everyone. Suitable for beginners and people with experience.

ENJOY calming guided meditations and learn reliable methods to make your mind clear and positive and thereby transform your life.

In each class a different aspect of meditation and Buddhism is explained. The classes are self-contained so you can drop in any week. There is no need to book or bring anything. Classes begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a second guided meditation based on the topic.

STOP WORRYING START LIVING

What would you life be like if you could choose not to follow painful and stressful thoughts?
Meditation gives us the tools to choose which thoughts we pay attention to and which thoughts we wish to let go of. The quality of our life is very much determined by the quality of our thoughts. By learning to meditate, we can develop a more relaxed, positive mind and when our mind is positive, our life will be positive.
This series of classes provides a practical explanation of simple meditation and positive thinking techniques. It will explore how we can use mindfulness in our daily lives to let go of worry and live more positive lives.
