Drop in meditation and mindfulness classes for everyone. Suitable for beginners and people with experience.

ENJOY calming guided meditations and learn reliable methods to make your mind clear and positive and thereby transform your life.

In each class a different aspect of meditation and Buddhism is explained. The classes are self-contained so you can drop in any week. There is no need to book or bring anything. Classes begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a second guided meditation based on the topic.

MEDICINE FOR THE MIND

On this series of classes we will explore the underlying causes of our stress, unhappiness and lack of self-confidence. We will learn how to identify these causes in our mind and how we can train ourselves to let go of the thoughts and attitudes that do not serve us. By doing this we can truly heal our minds and awaken a deep peace and happiness within.
When we look at external things, we can usually distinguish those that are useful and valuable from those that are not. We must learn to look at our mind in the same way. Although the nature of our root mind is pure and clear, many conceptual thoughts arise from it, like bubbles arising within an ocean or rays of light arising from a single flame. Some of these thoughts are beneficial and lead to happiness both now and in the future, whereas others lead to suffering.
We need to keep a constant watch over our mind and learn to distingush between the beneficial and harmful thoughts that arising moment by moment. Those who are able to do this are truly wise.
