This Drop-in class includes guided meditations and a practical talk about integrating positive insights into daily life. Each class will begin with a breathing meditation to settle the mind and then a talk exploring the topic of the week. This will be followed by a concluding meditation to help us take the understandings to heart and an opportunity to ask questions after the class. Do you find that your mind is often filled with worry and anxiety ? It can feel as if there’s always something to worry about. In reality, our worrying habit will always ‘find’ something to worry about so it’s this habit that is our actual problem. Worry robs us of our peace of mind and prevents us from enjoying our life. Nowadays this is a common experience but we can learn how to let go of this bad mental habit. This series of classes will explore how to take back control over our mind and our life so we can begin to enjoy the peace of mind that we all have the capacity to experience.
We will look at precisely what the nature of our mind is and how it functions to give rise to worry and other painful states of mind. We will learn how powerful the mind is and how helpful it is to learn to harness this power. Through understanding our mind we can really begin to change our whole experience of life.
