All Our Weekly Classes are Drop-in & Suitable for Beginners

At the meditation centre in Birmingham, we offer Morning, Lunchtime, Evening, Saturday half day courses and a Sunday class.  We hold weekly classes in Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, and a monthly class in Wolverhampton.

Each class includes guided meditations and a practical talk about integrating positive insights into daily life.  The class will begin with a breathing meditation to settle the mind and then a talk exploring the topic of the week. This will be followed by a concluding meditation to help us take the understandings to heart in order to apply to daily life.  There is an opportunity to ask questions after the class.

Everyone is welcome, no previous experience is necessary.  Drop-in any week and pay the drop-in fee, or book a course.  Or if you’re attending frequently, why not consider Membership? Times and costs vary, so click on a class below for more details:

Why meditate?

The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful.
If our mind is peaceful we shall be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we shall experience true happiness; but if our mind is not peaceful, we shall find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions.

Training in meditation helps us to develop an inner space and clarity that enables us to control our mind regardless of the external circumstances. Gradually we can learn to rely upon peace within our mind and can learn to be happy all the time.

Do I need to bring anything or wear particular clothing ?

You don’t need to bring anything with you.  People wear whatever they feel comfortable in.  Some come in work clothes, or casual wear.  People generally sit on chairs, though people can choose to sit on the floor.
