DON’T LOOK BACK IN ANGER
Saturday 13th April – 10.30am – 1pm
with Resident Teacher Kelsang Lhasang
One of our most destructive habits of mind is anger. Anger can manifest as mild irritation, frustration, self loathing or as resentment and rage. The reason we get angry is that we allow our mind to remain on an object that is likely to stimulate anger and we dwell on the perceived faults of that object. We blame the object for our unhappiness when in fact, it is the anger itself that is the cause of our pain. If we catch our mind as soon as it starts to focus on such an object in this way, we can prevent anger from developing and are then able to channel our thoughts in a more constructive direction.
This course will explain practical techniques for recognising and reducing irritation, frustration and anger.
Suitable for beginners and everyone welcome. The half day course consists of two one hour sessions (10:30-11:30am & 12-1pm) which include guided meditations and a talk on the topic. There is a half hour break in the middle for refreshments. You are welcome to arrive from 9:45am for pre-course refreshments and to stay after the course also to relax in the centre.
