STAYING CALM IN TROUBLED TIMES
with Resident Teacher Kelsang Lhasang
Saturday 11th May – 10.30am – 1pm
Suitable for beginners
We all live in uncertain times, both globally and personally. It is easy to feel troubled by everything that we see in the world, and upset by the difficulties that occur daily. Times of change and uncertainty can be unsettling, but they also can become transformative experiences. Buddha explained how to keep the mind free from fear and anxiety and instead use difficult situations to cultivate inspiring views that help us keep calm and positive amidst conflict and chaos. This course will include guided meditations and talks on how to actually find benefit for yourself and those around you.
Suitable for beginners and everyone welcome. The half day course consists of two one hour sessions (10:30-11:30am & 12-1pm) which include guided meditations and a talk on the topic. There is a half hour break in the middle for refreshments. You are welcome to arrive from for pre-course refreshments and to stay after the course also to relax in the centre.
Kelsang Lhasang was appointed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche as the Resident Teacher of KMC Birmingham.
