The Power of Mantra with Resident Teacher Kelsang Lhasang

Fee:£15 advance booking or £17 on the day

Mantra means “mind protection”. It is the supreme method to enhance the qualities of our body and mind. For centuries, mantra recitation has been used to attain a peaceful and happy mind by pacifying the negative thoughts that give rise to our suffering.

On this half day course, Kelsang Lhasang will explain the meaning of mantra and instructions on how to combine mantra recitation with breathing meditation will be explained. This is a simple and powerful method to attain a calm, controlled and positive mind and is ultimately the cause of the supreme inner peace of enlightenment.

Many people find it helpful to have a mala, or set of prayer beads, to use when reciting mantras. Kelsang Lhasang will explain how to do mantra recitation in combination with a mala and explain why a personal mala used in this way becomes a very precious, powerful and meaningful object.
