with Resident Teacher Kelsang Lhasang

Saturday 8th June, 10.30am – 1pm

Suitable for beginners

We all wish to be happy and to have good relationships with others; the best way to fulfil these wishes is to train in loving kindness.  We have some experience of love already, but we may not realise how easy it is to cultivate and grow the love in our hearts through meditation.  When we do, we will discover an inexhaustible fountain of happiness within our own heart; our love for others.  We will solve our daily problems, improve our relationships, and easily make progress on our path to permanent inner peace.

During this half-day course, discover how to meditate on the three aspects of love: affectionate love, cherishing love, and wishing love. In this way we will grow our own good heart through meditation and special ways of thinking and develop these three types of love towards all living beings without conditions or partiality.

Suitable for beginners and everyone welcome.  The half day course consists of two one hour sessions (10:30-11:30am & 12-1pm) which include guided meditations and a talk on the topic.  There is a half hour break in the middle for refreshments.  You are welcome to arrive from 9:45am for pre-course refreshments and to stay after the course also to relax in the centre.

Kelsang Lhasang was appointed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche as the Resident Teacher of KMC Birmingham.  She is a dedicated disciple, and has been studying  and practising  meditation and Modern Kadampa Buddhism for over ten years.  She has taught both in the UK and Australia.  She has successfully completed the six month Intensive Resident Teacher Training Course at Manjushri KMC.  She is well known for her sincere good heart, working to enable people to solve their daily problems
