The Foundation Programme (FP) provides the opportunity for the systematic study and meditation on the essential subjects of Kadampa Buddhism based on six books by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. It is designed for those people who wish to study Buddha’s teachings in more depth than is available in the weekly drop-in classes. It takes a more structured approach with classes consisting of teachings, discussions, chanted prayers and guided meditations with the emphasis on gaining practical experience of Buddha’s teachings and understanding how we can apply these to our daily life.
