‘How to Rely Upon a Spiritual Guide’

Special Day Course with visiting teacher Gen Kelsang Togden

~ Saturday 3rd October and available as a recording for 7 days

how to rely on a spiritual guide

In these uncertain times many of us are looking beyond our ordinary, temporary pleasures to a deeper sense of happiness and meaning in our lives. Enlightenment is a magical inner destination that we have never reached before, despite our unending search for happiness. But how do we get there?

If we are curious about this inner spiritual journey, how do we find a reliable teacher and guide who can lead us on this path? How do we develop a pure mind of faith that sees beyond our ordinary world and limited sense of self? How do we generate the aspiration to follow an authentic Spiritual Guide and to acquire enlightened qualities ourselves?

On this special day course, Gen Togden will use his personal experience of Dharma to explain how relying on a Spiritual Guide can help us fulfil our wishes for both temporary and ultimate happiness.

The Teacher for the Course:

Gen Kelsang Togden is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre London. He began his studies of Kadampa Buddhism in Toronto, Canada, in 1993. Since then, he has been committed to studying and practising the teachings given by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

Gen Togden has taught extensively in many countries of the world, including the UK, Canada, USA, Portugal, Spain, New Zealand, South America and South Korea. He is loved and admired by his students because of his practical knowledge and warm presentations, authentic teachings, as well as his natural joy and sense of humour. We are honoured to welcome Gen Togden to teach this special online event for KMC Birmingham.
