By training in meditation, you will develop an inner space and clarity that enables you to begin to control your mind. You will learn to recognise and let go of mental habit patterns that disturb your mind. Meditation is a tool by which you can deeply familiarise your mind with more constructive mental attitudes that will gradually heal the causes of your anxiety, stress, and other disturbing thoughts.
On this 5 week course, you will learn how to meditate. How to develop a powerful meditation practice that not only calms the mind but actually transforms your mind – and the way you experience everything. This course will teach you everything you need to know to begin, develop or deepen your meditation practice.
We can all learn how to develop a meditation practice – in the midst of daily busy life, that will facilitate the development of uplifting and positive mental attitudes and help us to become the person we want to be.
The course will run in Birmingham City Centre on Sundays and Tuesdays as well as in Solihull on Mondays and Sutton Coldfield on Thursdays.

These classes are taught by Buddhist nun Gen Kelsang Leksang. A teacher with 20 years experience of teaching meditation. The course will be based on teachings of Buddha that provide powerful and liberating insights into the nature of the human mind.

The teacher of this class is Gen Kelsang Leksang, she has been an ordained Buddhist nun for 16 years. she has been studying under the guidance of the meditation master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for over 20 years and was first appointed as resident teacher at KMC Birmingham in 2007.
Appreciated for her caring and positive manner, she has the ability to inspire people to improve their own lives by showing how Buddha’s teaching are relevant to the experiences of modern day people.
