In this morning meditation workshop, we will learn how we can deeply enjoy beautiful states of mind by training in Kadampa Buddhist meditation. The course will explore how we can learn to deepy enjoy meditation so that over time, we can develop deep spiritual experience that will transform our mind and our life.

Description
Do you find meditation difficult at times? Do you find it difficult to go deeper into your meditation? Do these experiences make your meditation less enjoyable and therefore perhaps less sustainable? These experiences are common, but by learning to enjoy meditation we can improve our practice.
We can all learn to tweak our meditation practice so that we can learn how to enjoy it more. Kadampa Buddhist Meditation when approached skilfully is deeply enjoyable, relaxing, and transformative. In fact, learning to enjoy meditation is the best way to get good at it. On this course, you will learn some tried and tested techniques, taught by Buddha, for learning to enjoy and thereby deepen your meditation practice.

The teacher
We are delighted to welcome Gen Kelsang Khechog, the Resident Teacher of Jangchub Ling Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Cradley Heath. Gen Kelsang Khechog. Gen Khechog was ordained in 2006 by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. After studying for a number of years on the Teacher Training Programme at the internationally renowned Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre near Derby, Gen Khechog was appointed as the Resident Teacher of Jangchub Ling Buddhist Centre in September 2009.
Known for his thoughtful nature, Gen Khechog presents Buddha’s teachings with relatable clarity, showing how to connect these beautiful meditations with the realities of modern daily life.
