Are you looking for an uplifting way to see in the New Year?  

Everyone is welcome to join us for this special evening of guided meditation, advice for a happy year, food, and good company. There will also be an opportunity to welcome in 2024 with some beautiful chanted prayers to the Buddha of Compassion – Avalokiteshvara.

7.30 – 8 pm – Registration and welcome  

8-8.45 – Guidance for a happy life and guided meditation 

8.45-11 pm – Buffet  

11 pm-12 pm – Chanted prayers

The teacher 

The teacher of this class is Gen Kelsang Leksang. She has been an ordained Buddhist nun for 16 years. she has been studying under the guidance of the meditation master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for over 20 years and was first appointed as Resident Teacher at KMC Birmingham in 2007.  

Appreciated for her caring and positive manner, she has the ability to inspire people to improve their own lives by showing how Buddha’s teachings are relevant to the experiences of modern-day people.
