Fearlessly

Declutter your mind’

Saturday 24th July, 11am-12.30pm
with Buddhist nun Kelsang Lhasang
in-person and online options available*; £8 per person, no fee for Centre members

At present our mind has the nature of movement. This means that we flit from thought to thought without control. This state of inner turbulence makes our mind feel very uncomfortable. It is the basis of our anxiety and depression and makes our inner world cluttered, congested and unpeaceful. It makes happiness and well-being impossible.

This is a very common diagnosis in our hectic modern world, but there is a solution. Buddha revealed special meditations that dissolve the turbulence and negativities away. On this course, we will learn these meditations and make our inner mental space like a clear blue sky, the nature of peace. Learn the essential techniques for decluttering your mind, and fulfill your wishes for a focused and happy life.

The course is suitable for beginners and those with more experience. It will include guided meditations and practical advice. It will give you tried and tested tools and meditation practices for finding happiness. Everyone is welcome.

Letting go perfect

Letting go of perfect’

Saturday 18th September, 10am-1pm
with Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Leksang
in-person and online options available*; £15 per person, no fee for Centre members

With modern life, especially within the world of media platforms, we can often feel under pressure to ‘get it right’, to be seen as successful, or to be ‘living the life’. Deep down we know these are unrealistic expectations, but nevertheless we can get caught up with them and feel dissatisfied or that we’re not good enough.

These thoughts can genuinely undermine our confidence and self esteem. What we need amidst our challenging world is the encouragement to know we can be happy and content just as we are and let go of our craving for perfection.

This course will help us understand how to let go of our self-critical thought patterns, nourish positive attitudes, and redirect our energies to being content, peaceful and most importantly happy with who we are.

On this course we will:

Explore simple and practical methods to calm the mind and reduce stress

Learn how to let go of our self-critical thought patterns

Learn how to nourish positive attitudes enabling us to be happy with who we are

Two engaging sessions consisting of guided meditations and a talk

The course is suitable for beginners and those with more experience. Everyone is welcome.
