‘Supreme Unchanging Friend’

Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni

Saturday, 5th December with optional day retreat on Sunday, 6th December

supreme unchanging friend

In this time of great uncertainty, we are all looking for something that we can actually rely upon. Buddha and his teachings are completely reliable and can never deceive us or let us down, even at the time of our death. By gaining experience of Buddha’s teachings we can come to live a life of hope and great meaning and to regard Buddha as our supreme unchanging friend.

Everybody is welcome to join us for this special opportunity to receive the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni. By receiving this empowerment, you will receive healing blessings on your body, speech and mind which will enable you to begin to awaken the potential of your mind for pure and lasting states of happiness.

The empowerment is like a very special guided visualisation that enables us to make a deep connection with living Buddha, a bit like being introduced to a very special friend.

In the afternoon, Gen Kelsang Leksang will give an explanation of ‘The Liberating Prayer’ and explain how by engaging in this prayer, we can draw closer to Buddha and receive his blessings and inspiration whenever we wish. The more we learn how to open our mind to receive Buddha’s blessings, the more we will be able to transform ourself and make progress on our path to peace.

The empowerment day will be followed by an optional one day retreat in which we will explore a special prayer practice that functions to bless, empower and purify our mind ready for meditation.
