the class is very relaxed and informal. participants sit on chairs so no special clothing or equipment is required. the class is great for beginners and each session includes guided meditations and lots of practical advice for a happy life.
you can attend a single class as a one off or the whole series. can book online or just pay on the night. a discount is available for those who book the entire series online.
the class is held in the main hall which is located on the ground floor.
there is some parking at the front of the venue itself but there’s also plenty of parking available in the st nicholas’ church car park, which we are welcome to use. the entrance to the newman centre is opposite sainsbury and simla indian restaurant.
gen leksang is the resident teacher at kmc birmingham. ordained as a buddhist nun for 15 years, she has studied extensively under the guidance of the buddhist meditation master venerable geshe kelsang gyatso for about 20 years and was first appointed as a resident teacher at kmc birmingham in 2007.
known for her caring and positive manner, she has the ability to inspire people to improve their own lives by showing how buddha’s teaching are relevant to the experiences of modern day people.
