‘The Power of Prayer’

Half Day Course on Saturday 2nd May, 10am to 12.50pm with Resident Teacher Kelsang Lhasang

In these challenging times we can feel worried and frightened for our self, our family and the whole world. When there is so much that is outside of our control we inevitably feel powerless.

Prayer is the one thing we can always do no matter what the situation and this can bring about powerful effects. In this course, learn about the power of prayer and how it strengthens our connection to the Buddhas and holy beings. The stronger our connection to Buddha the better able we are to face our adversities with wisdom, courage and strength.

Kelsang Lhasang will briefly introduce the prayer practice of Buddha Tara called Liberation from Sorrow, whereby we pray for all beings to be protected from all sufferings and dangers. We can engage in this practice as often as we wish, deeply motivated by compassion for all living beings to be permanently released from their suffering.

There will also be an opportunity to engage in Tara prayers in the evening from 7-8pm and/or by join a session or all sessions of the Tara Day 24hr chanting retreat on 8th May via livestream to Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre.
