About the course

Do you find other people challenging at times?

Because our opinions, priorities and ways of doing things so often differ, it is quite common for friction to arise in our relationships with other.

We can easily experience irritation, frustration and sometimes resentment and pain.

Whether it’s close family, co-workers or just people we encounter on the road, we can all learn to protect ourselves from irritation and pain by training our minds.

Because relationships of all kinds are an important part of life, if we want to lead a happy life, it is essential that we learn to respond to others with a more positive and peaceful mind. We cannot change others but if we change our own mind, this will always have a beneficial effect.

On this 4 week course we will explore how we can protect our mind from frustration, stress and pain and improve our relationships with others.

We will explore tried and tested Buddhist thinking and how to develop attitudes that protect our mind and our peace. We will see how this priceless and practical wisdom is just as relevant today as it was when it was first taught.

You will learn:

  • How to stay calm & strong in interactions with others
  • How to not take things so personally
  • How to respond more effectively when challenged
  • How to protect your peace

Each class will include guided meditations and practical advice.

The classes are suitable for those with experience as well as complete beginners. Everybody is welcome.

Each class will guide you through 2 calming meditations and provide practical techniques for training your mind to become more focused and positive.
