the centre is now open for all our classes and courses and you are welcome to attend these sessions in-person. The centre is also open to visit outside of class times Tuesday-Friday 2pm-5pm. We have a beautiful shop selling Buddhist books and meditation items as well as gifts.

our teachers

Kadampa Meditation Centre Birmingham is dedicated to contributing to world peace by offering everyone the opportunity to develop mental peace through training in meditation and Modern Buddhism. Our teachers have all studied buddhist meditation and practice extensively over many years under the guidance of venerable geshe kelsang gyatso rinpoche. all of the teachers at the centre study on teacher training programme.

how to find us


the centre is located on blucher street which is next to the Mailbox. We are directly opposite Singers Hill Synagogue, 5 minutes walk from broad street or 7 minutes from new street station. There is free street parking evenings from 6pm and on Sundays.

by train

the centre is a seven minute walk from birmingham new street and a short walk from birmingham moor street and snow hill

by bus

the centre is located within walking distance of all bus routes that serve the city centre

by car

the centre is a 4 mile/12 minute drive from junction 6 of the M6 and 5 miles/15 minutes from junction 1 of the m5
