About the retreat

Though it was composed many years ago the famous Buddhist scripture Advice from Atisha’s Heart is a very modern text full of immensely practical advice to help us deal with the challenges of modern living and transform  our ordinary life into a joyful path to deep inner peace for our own and others’ benefit. It is the very heart of Kadampa Buddhism.

The founder of Kadampa Buddhism, the renowned Indian Buddhist Master Atisha gave these instructions as his final advice after teaching in Tibet for many years. This is his essential personal advice for living a meaningful and purposeful life.
