‘ocean of peace’ retreat​

saturday 2nd and sunday 3rd january​
with resident teacher Gen Kelsang Leksang

This retreat is based on the book ‘Oral Instructions of Mahamudra’ by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche; a precious text that guides the reader through the profound and world-transforming practice of Mahamudra – the very essence of Buddha’s teachings of Sutra and Tantra.

During the weekend  we will be introduced and guided on the meditations contained within the Mahamudra instructions and have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience of these precious meditations.

Preparing for meditation – Saturday 2nd January

On this day we will spend time focusing on distinct yet essential preliminary practices that will prepare the foundation for Mahamudra realizations.

Training in Mahamudra – Sunday 3rd January

On this day we will be engaging in Mahamudra meditation that enables us to reveal the nature of our own mind: the union of our own great bliss and emptiness.

Stages_Of_The_Path_To_Enlightenment

‘Stages of the Path to Enlightenment’ Retreat

Monday to Thursday, 4th to 7th January
with Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Leksang

Lamrim which means “stages of the path to Enlightenment”, is a powerful series of contemplative meditations that reveal hidden spiritual truths that deepen our love, compassion and understanding or wisdom.

On this retreat, Gen Leksang will explain and guide us through the 15 Lamrim meditations as presented within the book ‘The Mirror of Dharma with additions’ by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.  Each session will include a short teaching, some preparatory prayers and a guided meditation.

suitable for all levels from complete beginners to experienced meditators.
